What exactly is TimeTic?
TimeTic is a simple time-tracking app for businesses with 1 to 25 employees. Your team clocks in with a QR code or a PIN, you get a live attendance dashboard, and everything is stored automatically for your accountant and the authorities.
Who is TimeTic for?
Small business owners and SMEs without an HR department: cleaning companies, hairdressers, bakers, butchers, garages, horticulture, retail, logistics, trades. See the industries page for more.
Which countries does TimeTic work in?
TimeTic is built in Belgium and tailored first to Belgian law. The app works anywhere in the EU β additional language versions (EN, FR, ES, DE) are live.
Belgian legislation 2027
What changes in 2027?
From 1 January 2027, every employer in Belgium should in principle have a time-tracking system, even with a single employee. The details are still being fine-tuned β we track them and adjust the app as needed.
Is TimeTic compliant?
Yes. TimeTic stores start and stop times, breaks, reasoned corrections and a complete audit log. Exports to payroll providers and tax authorities are built in.
What if I only have one employee?
The Starter plan is made for you. From 2027, the law won't make an exception for micro-businesses, so neither do we.
Setup and daily use
Do I need to buy a punch clock or badge reader?
No. TimeTic works with a QR code (that you print yourself) and/or a PIN. Your team scans with their own phone or via a shared tablet at the counter.
Do my team members need to install an app?
Not necessarily. The QR code simply opens a web page. Those who prefer can install the app for extra comfort (offline, push notifications).
Does TimeTic work without internet?
Yes. The app lets you clock in offline β data syncs as soon as you're connected again. Handy for horticulture or drivers in low-coverage areas.
How long does setup take?
About 15 minutes. Create an account, add your team, print the QR stickers, done.
Pricing and billing
What does TimeTic cost?
From β¬7/month for Starter (1 to 3 employees). See all plans on the pricing page.
Are there any setup fees?
No. No setup, no activation, no hidden add-ons inside your plan.
How does the free trial work?
30 days free, no credit card. After 30 days, your account is paused until you activate a plan yourself β no automatic invoice.
Can I pay monthly or yearly?
Either. Yearly is about 22% cheaper.
Data and privacy
Where is my data stored?
On servers in the European Union, with a European cloud provider. Never at a US hyperscaler.
Is TimeTic GDPR-compliant?
Yes. We only process the data we strictly need (hours, names, email addresses) and sign a data processing agreement with every customer.
What happens when I leave?
You can request a full export of your data at any time (CSV, PDF, JSON). After that we delete everything within 90 days.
Integrations
Does TimeTic work with my accounting tool?
We export to CSV and PDF, which every tool can read. For direct integrations (Teamleader, Yuki, Exact Online, Octopus), we're building connectors in the Pro plan.
Can I import data from my old system?
Yes. Send us a CSV or Excel file and we'll help you import it for free.
